T-MOBILE recently made headlines. First it was canceling 2 year contracts, then it was offering free 200MB (I know its small, but its free) data on all purchased iPads.
It's a new strategy called "Uncarrier," led by the charismatic CEO John Legere of T-MOBILE. Once known as the crappy carrier (trust me they were pretty bad), has now sprung up and become one of the most feared mobile competitors ever. When asked about competitors such as AT&T or Verizon on Bloomberg TV, he simply smiled like he had already won the competition.
AT&T and Verizon are not standing still. Ma Bell (old name for AT&T) has "tried" to come up with new plans that compete with T-MOBILE's annual program for upgrades. So far AT&T's plan has not much subscribers.
T-MOBILE recently reported over 1 million new subscribers to its network. An amazing feat, considering Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon all lost subscribers this recent quarter. Not only that, T-MOBILE has more tricks up its sleeves...
Remember international roaming charges? Yeah, those that charge you like a dollar a minute. At T-MOBILE, call hundreds of minutes without any charges in any country (almost every country). This has scared big carriers like Verizon, who loves charging its customers outrages fees to support its own profits. Fees at T-MOBILE, not so much anymore.
Intelligent Debate: What do you think about T-MOBILE?
Also, Answer the poll above for your favorite carrier!
